Large self-catering holiday cottage accommodation sleeps 14 people

On the edge of the Peak District - Matlock Bath, Derbyshire Dales

Crow Pie Cottage is well equipped with everything for your holiday or short break.

Kitchen

The kitchen has a dishwasher, integrated fridge-freezer, microwave, electric fan oven with gas hob, slow cooker and a comprehensive range of utensils and cooking equipment; there's also a large larder fridge.

Dining room

The dining room is home to a large oak farmhouse table which (when used with extension) is big enough for 14 people to dine together for that special celebratory meal. We have two high chairs available on request.

Washing facilities

The cottage has a washing machine, a tumble dryer, an iron and ironing board plus indoor drying racks and an outdoor washing line along with a supply of pegs.

Wood burning stove and heating

The cottage is centrally heated throughout, the dining area has a coal effect electric fire and the living room has a feature fireplace with wonderful log burning stove. Initial supplies of logs, sticks and firelighters are supplied. There's also a fireguard to prevent accidents to children.

Music and TV

The living room has a 40" LCD TV with Sky+ HD TV including Sky Movies, Sky Sports and on demand TV; there's also a DVD player with a large selection of over 80 DVDs; in the snug there's a radio/iPod dock/CD player plus a Freeview TV, DVD player and a Chromecast for mirroring your smartphone or Tablet onto the big screen. There's a stereo system in the dining room with an MP3 aux lead for connecting iPods etc. All the bedrooms have a radio/iPod dock/CD player.

Broadband

Free unlimited wireless broadband Internet access is provided - perfect for all the on demand TV you want to watch and mobile phone coverage is good in the area.

Books, games and toys

You will find a large selection of books, games and puzzles in the Snug/6th bedroom and garden games such as garden Jenga, swing-ball and boules are available in the summer.

Linen and towels

Egyptian cotton bed linen is provided, as is one large bath towel per person. If you are intending to use the travel cot, please be aware that we don’t provide linen for this as we find people like to bring their own.

Outside

The cottage enjoys fabulous views over Matlock Bath and the Derwent valley towards Starkholmes and Riber Castle. At the front there's a lawned garden with mature shrubs and trees plus a sunny, paved patio with garden furniture and BBQ - making it the ideal place for al fresco summer dining and all accessed via french doors directly from the dining room. To the rear of the cottage there is a sloping lawned garden with around two acres of woodland to explore.
